Latest on Tropical Depression #13…..September 2nd, 2011 at 8:25 am by Michael White under FOX10 Stormtracker Weather
Tropical Depression #13 is poised to become a Tropical Storm tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest. The good news is that the models have finally come into agreement on the track of this system and as you can see on the graphic it isn’t expected to become a Hurricane but will take a very long time to move inland and eventually dissipate. Since it will take so long for this thing to move into the Louisiana coastline, we’re going to have to deal with a lot of rain throughout the Labor Day Weekend. How much exactly? Well, look at this graphic below. Rain totals could max out between 1 to 2 feet south of i-10 along the beaches. Because of this, coastal flooding will be the greatest threat and we’re going to be tracking it all weekend long.
