Fall In Full Effect!October 19th, 2013 at 3:51 pm by Matt Barrentine under FOX10 Stormtracker Weather
Big changes! After a cold front creates a wet and soggy Saturday, expect much better conditions by Sunday. The rain will end overnight Saturday and the front will push south over the Gulf and stall out. A nice northerly flow behind that system will create pleasant autumn conditions for us on Sunday with highs in the low to mid 70s.
“Colder’ Cold Front Tuesday
Another quick-moving, strong cold front will move in Tuesday. A few showers ahead of this cold front Monday evening and along the front Tuesday are possible. The bigger impact though, will be full-blown fall temperatures the rest of the week and into next weekend. Lows will be in the upper 40s or lower 50s most mornings and highs will be in the low to mid 70s.
Only about six weeks left in the hurricane season! At this time of the year, the NW Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico are the areas we keep an eye on. A system forming elsewhere is very unlikely to reach us. Regardless there are no threats in those spots or anywhere else in the Atlantic basin.
