Warming trend set to begin…October 26th, 2013 at 3:11 pm by Matt Barrentine under FOX10 Stormtracker Weather
It will be pretty right through the weekend! A few more clouds are possible on Sunday after another cool start, but otherwise, another nice one with warm 70s by the afternoon.
A front just north of us will stall out and not reach us, so our winds will back around to the SE and we will gradually warm up the next few days. By Monday afternoon highs will be edging up to and over 80 degrees, which is well above normal for this time of year. Morning lows will also edge northwards of 60 degrees.
This warming trend will last through the week and the warmest day will likely be Halloween on Thursday with temps getting close to the mid 80s. Make sure the kid’s costumes aren’t too warm!
A cold front will be approaching by the end of the week and models move it through our area by Friday afternoon. This will bring some rain and a cool down after a warm week.
It may not seem like it, but the hurricane season lasts for another month through the end of November. At this time of year it would take an exceptional system to form, hold together, and hit our area. It’s rare, but it has happened before so we’ll keep our eye out, but for now there are no possibilities and all is quiet.
