Sloppy Tuesday Evening
Winds began to turn more northerly by lunchtime, and temperatures have fallen to near 50 by the late afternoon. Expect lighter rains continuing into the evening and late evening. Rain should be ending after midnight and temps turn colder tonight. Lows will be in the mid 30’s tonight, with a significant wind chill.
If you are travelling north, light wintry precipitation is possible in west central Mississippi and northern Alabama late tonight. Any issues on the roads should clear up by mid morning in places like Atlanta, Birmingham, and Huntsville.
Wednesday will be very cold and dry, with highs in the upper 40’s. A significant freeze event is possible Wednesday night. Many locations will see lows in the low 20’s just north of I-10.
The forecast looks cold and sunny for Thanksgiving. Highs will only be in the 50’s. We will see plenty of sunshine. More light freezing temperatures are possible Thanksgiving Night. Expect a warming trend for Black Friday and the weekend. Temperatures will be back into the 60’s by Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

A SIGNIFICANT FREEZE IS EXPECTED OVER THE REGION BY THANKSGIVING MORNING. WELL INLAND LOCATIONS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO DROP TO AROUND 20 DEGREES. LOCATIONS CLOSER TO THE COAST WILL LIKELY DROP INTO THE MID TO UPPER 20S WITH TEMPERATURES AROUND 32 EXPECTED AT THE BEACHES.
