Warming Trend; Strong Late-Week System; Hurricane Season EndsNovember 30th, 2013 at 3:02 pm by Matt Barrentine under FOX10 Stormtracker Weather
It’s time to warm back up! After a number of chilly nights our temps are going to come back up as the winds swing around back off the Gulf of Mexico.
This will mean highs in the mid 60s Sunday, upper 60s Monday, and low to mid 70s for the remainder of the upcoming work week. Lows will follow suit with mornings all the way into the low 60s by midweek.
Sounds great right? Well there is a catch with the warmer weather. That warmth and humidity coming off the Gulf will feed into a late week system. A few showers are possible Wednesday and Thursday with the extra moisture, but Friday is when things could get really stormy with a cold front. Strong, possibly even severe storms will be possible Friday. We’ll keep an eye on this developing situation and keep you informed as we get closer to this system.
Hurricane Season Ends:
November 30th puts the wraps on the 2013 Atlantic Hurricane Season. We ended up with a near-average number of storms (13) but a well below-average number of hurricanes (2) and zero major hurricanes. All-in-all a forgettable hurricane season for us!
