Cool Down; Warm Up; Quiet WeekDecember 14th, 2013 at 2:44 pm by Matt Barrentine under FOX10 Stormtracker Weather
We missed out on the worst of the rain Saturday as the heaviest stuff passed south of us in the Gulf, but we will not miss out on the cool down. A cold front has moved through the area and temps will drop Saturday night. By Sunday morning temps will be around 40 in most spots with a breeze making it feel even chillier.
As we go through Sunday our skies will clear and temps will rise, but stay rather cool. Expect to top out in the low 50s.
QUIET WEEK; GRADUAL WARMING
As we move into the work week zonal flow will be taking over the weather pattern. Essentially this means no strong fronts will be driving southward during the week. That will give us a gradual warming trend after we bottom out around freezing Monday morning. By Thursday afternoon highs will be flirting with 70 degrees.
We won’t see another system until next Saturday (So if you’re doing that last-minute Christmas shopping you should take advantage of the quiet weather earlier in the week if you can).
