Warming TrendFebruary 28th, 2014 at 3:05 pm by Jason Smith under FOX10 Stormtracker Weather
It was nice to be back into the 60’s on this Friday. A return flow is setting up with breezy s’east winds. We will see a much milder situation for this evening’s Crewe of Columbus parade in Mobile, with temperatures in the mid 50’s. An upper disturbance moves through as we head into tonight, with little chance of rain. If we do see a sprinkle or light shower, it is most likely to occur in our inland locations.
Warmer temperatures are expected both Saturday and Sunday. We expect highs near 70 Saturday. Rain is not expected. A subtle surface warm front tracks across the area Saturday with a few clouds. Sunday will be the warmest day with readings in the mid 70’s.
A surface front is expected in the morning hours Monday. A 50% chance of showers are in the forecast for Lundi Gras. The rain chances end for Fat Tuesday. Temperatures should stay fairly warm until Fat Tuesday. Both Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday should be much cooler. Tuesday’s high will struggle to reach the mid 50’s with breezy northerly winds.
