Showers DevelopingMarch 10th, 2014 at 2:23 pm by Jason Smith under FOX10 Stormtracker Weather
The spring-like trend continued again today with sunshine and readings in the mid 70’s. Mobile Regional Airport reported 76 degrees at 2pm ! Daylight Savings Time began Sunday. So, our sunset time this evening is now at 6:58pm, giving us plenty of daylight in the evenings to enjoy the pleasant conditions. The last time we saw a temperature in the upper 70’s was February 19th.
Tonight should be fairly mild with lows in the middle 50’s. We will see an increase in clouds overnight.
Rain, Cooler Temps
A weak low pressure will develop in the northern Gulf on Tuesday, and will be the focus for scattered showers by lunchtime. Temps will stay warm for one more day, with highs near 70. The rain chances increase Tuesday afternoon to 60% as the low tracks into central Louisiana. More rain is likely Tuesday night as a strong cold front approaches. We do expect showers, but widespread severe weather is not expected with this front.
Skies clear with the passing front on Wednesday, after an isolated shot at an early morning shower. Colder weather moves in starting Wednesday night with lows in the upper 30’s. Thursday will be breezy with highs near 60. Temps rebound by the end of the week.
